I was craving Asian food cause I miss my mom so much I’ve never ordered from here before and the guy that answered was so nice! I ordered the lunch Pad Thai I thought it was the usual smalll portion you get from Chinese restaurants and it was the same price as theirs but honey lemme tell you they can’t hold up to this delicious food! It’s as close to the way my mom cooked and it warmed my heart cause I miss her so much This food was s blast full of flavor in every bite I will be definitely ordering from here from now on! Thank you Koong Thai for givng me wonderful memories of my moms food and bringing authentic food to Statesville And I ate the whole damn thing lmao 😂 I didn’t realize I did either I just couldn’t stop eating it was sisooo good 😂😂😂

I was not expecting much out of this place but I can’t get over how good it was! The food was soooo fresh everything came out hot and delicious. I had pho and my husband had the orange chicken — both were excellent and not greasy at all. Great service and although the place is a bit run down, it was immaculately clean. We will be back I think we found our new favorite place!

The fried dumplings are tender and delicious, the best I've had in quite a while. The Thom Kha soup with chicken is rich and silky smooth with a lively coconut flavor and generous helpings of tomato chunks, mushrooms and spices. The shrimp Spring Rolls were super fresh and refreshingly cool. The Pad Thai was a generous helping and tasty but missing any lime wedges for brightening the flavors. The disappointment was the Gai Krab. The chicken chunks were lightly breaded but dry, stringy and tough. I never finished it. The dish is also very sweet with the fried pineapple chunks. We will definitely go back to work our way through the menu and find new favorites. The place is a real gem off the beaten path.

Slow service. Despite not having many customers inside, it took 1.25 hr to leave the restaurant for lunch. Could not go back to work on time. Food is okay for Statesville. Definitely not the best, but not the worst.

Excellent food. Absolutely nothing fancy about the place. But the service is great and the food is outstanding. It's the kind of place that uses fresh julienned ginger root in their orange chicken sauce. You won't regret going.
