We arrived in West Virginia pretty late and honestly thought we might be out of luck since Kobe Asian Fusion was close to closing. Instead, they welcomed us in without hesitation and treated us with genuinely excellent service. I don’t remember our server’s name, but she was incredibly kind, patient, and made us feel comfortable after a long day of travel. She even took the time to recommend a great local brewery called Free Folk, which was an awesome bonus and really showed how much she cared about giving us a good local experience. Kobe Asian Fusion never disappoints. First of all, their cream cheese wontons are hands-down the best in the world -- perfectly light, crispy, and not greasy at all. I crave them constantly. Sushi lovers: you can't go wrong. The Yum Yum Roll is amazing every single time, and I also love the Rainbow Roll and the Hiro Roll -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. If you're more into warm dishes, their red and yellow curry are both excellent -- rich, comforting, and full of flavor. And don't even get me started on the house-made salad dressing... it is SO good. I would buy it by the bottle if I could. Everything was good, nothing was great. (Except the sushi, which was pretty great!) My group of 5 tried a variety of dishes, soups/salads, and regional cuisines. Everything was acceptable, but we were disappointed that nothing stood out at being excellent. I suppose a "Jack of all trades, master of none" situation? Loved the sushi though!
