I love their baked goods — they have the absolute best apple pie and cinnamon buns! I’ve tried their breakfast dishes a few times, but each time I had a reaction. I can’t imagine it’s the food itself, maybe it’s the oil they use for cooking. Next time, I’ll definitely ask what kind of oil they use.
I read through several reviews because I was surprised at the overall rating. Personally I found this bakery/cafe to be great. Yes it is expensive and yes it is not what you would get at a diner but that’s the point, it is a reimagined version of some staples and they are charging for quality ingredients (at least I trust they are). Bought a few baked goods to try at home, apple pie and cheese tart, both very good. We also stopped for breakfast and were very happy with what we had. You order at the counter and they then bring your food to your table. Condiments, napkins, utensils etc are self serve. I say all of this to set expectations. I like a casual place like this but some may not. We got a side of sourdough bread with butter and it was served in the best way possible for me. L
We are always amazed at how delicious the food is here! Today we shared the oyster mushroom and goat cheese scramble and the parsnip soup. Amazing flavors. So delish!
A lovely little bakery and cafe with great pastries, food, coffee, and very friendly staff alike. Their menu updates to whatever is in season and their pastries are always fresh. Every time I go I make sure to get a kouign-amann (pronounced like queen aman), it is literally my favorite pastry I've ever tried anywhere, and I'm so glad they recommended it to me. I also tried their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich during one visit, and it was very tasty! This place is definitely worth a visit and I go every time I visit family near Westport.
Discovered this place a week or so ago and have been back too many times to count already. Yes, owning a small business in America is expensive. Eating fresh Whole Foods is expensive. The prices reflect that. It is worth every cent. My omelette was so flavorful, it was truly the best omelette I have ever ate. The broccoli was delicious. I have had various pastries here, the bread (of course), sandwiches, and even ordered their Thanksgiving meal for pick up this week. I also love their little shop - great gifts to bring a hostess or someone who loves to bake. The people who work here are helpful and detail oriented. I appreciate these little places as they are far and few these days. Stop in and see for yourself!
