Kitsap Regional Library, Kingston

All of the KRL libraries are great but from the jumó off this is our favorite. Though smaller than many of the others it makes up for it in IMPACT. The kids section is PHENOMENAL with hands on displays on every surface, interactive displays to keep little one’s entertained and a toy corner. The floor art drew my toddler back again and again and there’s plenty of adult sized seating in the area for the parents. We’ll definitely be back!

First time in the new library. Such a neat facility. Staff is super helpful in locating what you need, it suggesting new books. I am thankful that Kitsap county has so many wonderful libraries that easily get books from one location to whichever is nearest you.

One of our favorite libraries in Kitsap county, if you have a child under the age of five it is a fantastic place to visit. Small, though has activity areas for littles, a variety selection for those that are young adult readers and under, and the staff is wonderful; just like it all Kitsap public library locations. The bathrooms are always pristinely clean and there is a playground as well, makes for a wonderful date day.

I went in five minutes before closing for about two minutes to print something really quick and leave. The woman at the desk informed me they closed in five minutes, and I let her know that I was aware and explained that I just needed to print something and leave. She was quite rude about it when she curtly snapped back at me saying that they had already “shut down the computers for the night, and there’s no way to turn them back on.” They must have been antsy to leave. I understand streamlining your work and wanting to get home as quickly as possible, but they are opened until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and they should provide their services until they close. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with their inability to provide services from open to close and their staff’s poor attitude.

This is a library- they loan you books for free. Who doesn't like that? Helpful people, bright happy architecture, and plenty of free parking.
