Cost with tax: $20 What/When: Poke bowl. I was a walk in order and got it to go today. When you’re as active as I am, when it’s time to fuel it’s time to fuel. We’re scouting the region and this was my first order. We will likely move to the area. My biggest expectation is that food is prepared to expectation and taste. This tuna poke bowl was poorly seasoned and overwhelmed by onion fillers. There was no poke preparation. There was no soy/ponzu marinade on anything, and definitely not on the tuna. It was naked tuna. There were two types of onions in this “poke” bowl which made it super overwhelming and taste bad - green onions (white bulb ends and green ends) and what was obviously a too-quick-pickle on onions. They completely just tasted like raw onion without a pickling and didn’t wo
Their power bowl is really good. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. The sauce is really nice. I’m in love with their green smoothy. It’s made with coconut milk, banana, pineapple, spinach, ginger and cucumber. It is just the right amount of sweet. It is soooo good!!!
Here’s the quick and dirty: Any restaurant that offers a wide range of food isn’t going to please everyone. I keep a fairly limited diet for health reasons, so I tend to order the same things. I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had at Kitava. There was only one time when the worker at the cashier could have directed me to the back where the pickup orders were but she did not while I waited so, they could have a sign 🙂 another time an order got messed up through an app, and the manager (Jen?) gave me the benefit of the doubt and even offered a gift card. That was very kind and her willingness to receive feedforward is refreshing. The fact that they don’t use seed oils alone makes this my go-to for ordering out—add to that a veggie-forward menu, organic ingredients, sustainably raised animal pr
Deeply disappointed. Fails the Chipotle test (I can get a better veggie rice bowl there). Basically it's expensive, either bland (without their sauce) or weird (with their sauce) and served cold. They also skimp on everything. I paid extra for wild rice and got even smaller potions than the last time I was there and had the default white rice. I left hungry after clearing my plate. I wasn't even particularly hungry when I went there. Beyond the food, it's just kind of a lame dining experience. It's pretty noisey even with the place 1/3 full.
I got their Spring Noodle Bowl 🥣 with Double Plant Protein Patty and a chocolate chip cookie. The noodle bowl was okay - lots of fiber, but I do recommend getting extra protein with it to feel full. As for the cookie... The sweetness is nowhere to be found, and instead you're left with a funky aftertaste after every bite. I was told they're still working on the recipe though. Besides the food, the staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
