King's Famous Pizza

Great find while on the road. We stopped for the night in Dillon and found this place. I got the chicken parm and my husband got the Alfredo chicken. These are so big it looks “family style”. Salsa bar is great.

My wife and I had our grandkids for the weekend and they love pizza. I thought we would take them somewhere that they hadn’t ever been before. I knew about this place for years and we’ve been to King’s Pizza in Myrtle Beach before. They’ve always been known for delicious pizza and subs. We ordered the large pepperoni, their favorite, along with a short order of chicken wings and my wife made a trip thru the salad bar. Look the pizza was delicious and the wings were much better than I expected. Sorry about the picture. We were half way through before I thought about pictures. Also take note that I chose to rate the atmosphere at 3 star because this facility has been around for many years and the inner atmosphere and furnishings need to be upgraded. Absolutely horrible service, people don’t even say you’re welcome when you use your manners! Brung my friend group in there and had a one of my black guy friends, acted super racist by him. All the white people in there stared at him the entire time, they all act super rude, definitely wouldn’t recommend. Food was alright other than that terrible atmosphere!

Unfortunately the cooks and certain staff members were not trained correctly! First off I understand the southern hospitality concept. Just not right for a restaurant!! Food safety is crucial especially for the elderly! Staff members should not place fresh salad bar items on top of old salad bar items that flies have ventured into lack of FIFO standards! Our waitresses were great. Yet the food was not so great, Lasagna is never to be placed on a bowl!!! Chicken Parmesan should never be drowned in sauce! Nostalgia is wonderful to see and be part of a 38 year old restaurant. Yet the nostalgia should not be where guest eat! I looked at all the photos and reviews and was surprised our food WAS NOT PREPARED AS IN OTHER CUSTOMERS PHOTOS. TRAINING IS STRONGLY NEEDED!

Hometown feel and great food! Absolutely incredible chicken parm sub and loved our meat pizza! Will definitely come back for a second visit. Chicken parm subs are amongst my favorite foods on the planet and it is always a delight to find a place that makes it right. Thanks for the visit and see you next time Dillon SC!
