It's been a few years since I last ate here, but I'd say the quality and portion sizes have gone downhill. I might be wrong, but I remember the California Bowl including diced avocado in it. I ordered it today and found out that it not only doesn't include avocado, but the California rolls that serve as the base are far smaller, poorly constructed, and basically just imitation crab meat inside a thin layer of seaweed and thin layer of rice. Years ago, this bowl would easily fill you up. Today though, I paid just under $30 for a small container that wasn't the least bit filling. AND, I paid for extra salmon. What used to be flavorful and layered with textures and aromas is now just a spoonful of a half-hearted attempt to mimic yesterday's quality. Disappointed is an understatement.
There is ramen sold on sundays and mondays — it’s a one man shop, but it’s probably the best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan. Definitely the best ramen in the south bay
Used to be a regular customer here. Showed up today when it said it was “open” online just to show up and see a poster saying they’re closed for December 20 - Jan 5 with no notice online. Would be nice to actually update your hours/website next time!
Really good poke here! I only know a few spots in Torrance for poke, and this one is definitely my favorite. The poke is fresh and full of flavor. It’s also affordable and they give you more than enough to satisfy your appetite. The customer service is solid too. The only downside might be that the parking lot is a bit small, but I’ve never had any trouble finding a spot. Overall, definitely worth coming back!
Different from other poke bowl restaurants that I've been to before. You don't get to choose the fish as you already get 3 types of fish in your bowl. You just have to pick the size, the sides and the sauce. I gave it 3 stars since the fish didn't seem fresh and I had a hard time distinguishing the 3 types of fish as they all tasted kinda bland or maybe there was too much sauce? I would avoid the fried garlic side as well since it had a burnt taste and some were really hard to chew and got stuck on my teeth. Parking is hard here as well especially on busy days. I would probably go elsewhere next time when I'm craving for poke.
