Kimchee&Rice

Posting a late review after getting the food 3 times over the last couple of weeks. The family and I were very excited to see that another Korean spot had opened up in Portland proper and decided to give our go-to dishes a try via delivery. Jeyuk (spicy pork) - one of the better 'saucy' versions of this dish. This restaurant uses thin sliced tender meat as the base (vs the thicker pork belly iteration). The entrée version comes with a random rotating set of 4 sides (banchan) which were all good. Pa jeon (scallion pancake) - very crispy and I really liked the vegetable to batter ratio Soy garlic chicken - very delicious with a crispy coating. More of a dry 'gangjeong' style. They keep to the basic flavor profile, but execute it very well. The chicken was good enough that I would believe

We finally got to have dinner here and everything was SO delicious! We had the Signature Kimbap, Bulgolgi Protein Skillet, and the Spicy Chicken protein skillet and we were blown away! The flavors were amazing and I absolutely recommend you try them! And of course the icing on the cake is Katie, the owner. She is just the kindest, most lovely human. She puts so much passion into her food and customers and she always takes such great care of us!!

Some of the best Korean food I've had. The lady that took our order is lovely, and offered us some tea to warm up from the cold weather while we waited for our food. If you get the bibimbap, get it in the stone pot, it's so worth it. (Pics are of the kimchi flight and my bibimbap - I promise it looked prettier before I mixed it all. I was too hungry to wait 😅)

This is a family run place and they run it with love. My god!! Everything from the food to the service was top notch. We tried quite a few things but the items that stood out were the spicy pork over rice, seafood jeon and their signature ramen. The kimchee is made by the owners. If you’re looking for home cooked Korean done to perfection I would highly recommend this place.

This place is FIRE! 🔥 Finally tried Kimchee&Rice and I'm so glad I did. The Korean fried chicken was crispy perfection, and those BBQ ribs? Absolutely next level, tender, smoky, and glazed to perfection. But what really made the night was the service. The staff treated us like family and made sure every detail was perfect. Pro tip: They sell their house-made kimchi in jars to take home! We grabbed one and it's been the perfect addition to every meal since. Amazing food, incredible vibes, and service that goes above and beyond. Portland, you NEED to try this spot! Already planning my next visit! 🇰🇷
