Kimble Fish Co

Kimble was nice. Part of my family and I visited while we were in town for the Church of God in Christ 117th Holy Convocation in November 2025. The place has a very clean appearance and smells like fresh fish. When you walk in, the fresh seafood case is on the right and the cooking area is on the left. There is minimal seating, but no tables and chairs. The workers were very pleasant with us and kind in explaining their process. Ultimately, we ordered buffalo ribs, catfish filets, seasoned fries, and fried okra. It was nice! It was good that this was a place in Memphis that did not disappoint us. We will return again another time.

Kimble’s must have new ownership???????? I just ordered 2 catfish fillet plates and got 4 chunks of fish and honestly it’s nasty, slimy and black, about 5 inches by 2 inches… The old lady is gone!!!! This is laughable people!!!! Kimble’s where you go????

The food was horrible…. I waited nearly an hour just to only get one of my three orders which they totally forgot to cook my other two orders & the order I received the fish was fried too hard a few pieces was like rubber or chewing gum never breaking down which I had to spit out & the coleslaw was watery They gave me a refund of the two others they forgot I wish I got a full refund I was long gone before realizing how bad the food was NEVER AGAIN

I haven't been to Kimbles in a few months, and when I shopped there on New Year's Eve. 2025 I was in a total state of shock. When I walked in, I got a whif of fish.as if the food preparedness section might not have been thoroughly cleaned. The floor was dirty and it seemed as though the store was under new management ir ownership. The prices were nearly doubled from my last visit in September 2025 and the fish case was nearly bare. Since I made the long trip to purchase fish and it was New Year's Eve, I stayed and made my order. The cat fish filet was over two inches thick in some parts, which made me know that the huge catfish were used to filet, instead of the small channel cat fish. I bought six pounds of that. Very nice fish market for fresh fish. We have enjoyed getting Catfish fillets and frozen Onion Rings and Golden Fry Fish Breading. We also bought two pieces of Carmel cake. Mmmm good.
