Kiku Japanese Cuisine

Fresh and so, so yummy. Definitely going back. So, their chef special menu has more to it now. We ordered the sliced braised octopus which was wonderful, very tender, and whatever the green sauce was we dunked it in was delightful. We also ordered the Spicy Liz, Natasha, Sunshine, and Kiki Maki rolls. Everything was very fresh, flavorful, and they did not seem to skimp on the fish like many place do. All the prices were very reasonable. We can't wait to go back amd try the omakase experience. Thanks

Omakase Experience We visited Kiku Japanese for my son’s 15th birthday Omakase adventure, riding high on all the buzz about it being the shiny new star in the local sushi scene. And while the evening had some lovely moments, it didn’t quite sparkle the way we hoped (well… except for the literal gold flakes). The standout of the night? One absolutely extraordinary plate that made us sit up a little straighter and think, “Okay Kiku, we see you!” The rest of the courses were good—solid, enjoyable, but not the mind‑blowing journey we expected from a hyped Omakase. Incredible food at a new Japanese restaurant! I was craving good sushi for my 49th birthday and Kiku was recommended, so we went and it didn't disappoint! Every bite of food was top notch and delicious. There were a few adventurous options on the menu and I recommended trying them all! Be brave and you'll be happy!

​A total 10/10. By far the best sushi experience in the greater Sacramento area. We did the omakase and were completely blown away. The generosity of the portions and the freshness of the ingredients was well worth it. Service team was highly attentive and very engaged. Highly suggest treating yourself here—your tastebuds will thank you!
