Khi & Eli Food For The Soul

Today’s girls trip was snowmobiling and soul food. As we made our way from Vt to Ct we googled soul food places on the way home. Khi and Eli popped up and off we went. We definitely lucked out. Whoever is back there in the kitchen is definitely seasoning the food according to the ancestors whispers, it was seasoned just right. I had the whitings, yams, Mac and cheese and a side of collard greens (do not judge me). Once that mac hit them yams I already knew I was going to sleep in the car. The food didn’t take long and the staff ensured we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the singing coming from the kitchen went along with our singing in the dining area. We will definitely double back. Don’t take my word though, if ever in the area go see for yourself. I don’t know

I came here for the first time today with my sisters (not my sisters first time) and husband and man when I say so good I mean it. It’s hard to really find a good soul food spot that hits home. But I’m so glad my sister introduced me to this place because everything was a 10/10. I had the fried chicken, yams, collards, mac and it was definitely worth us traveling an hour! I don’t know why this is showing a 4.1 rating it should be 5 star spot. If you’re looking for a good soul spot and probably was hesitant to try…DON’T BE HESITANT TRY IT LOL. Also I don’t know the name of the man we were speaking to today but thankful you for making us feel welcomed!!

Found this spot by a google search of the best soul food in the Springfield area and found this gem! Drove an hour just to try it, and they did NOT disappoint! Everything was literally so good, the catfish is battered and fried to perfection and so are the wings! The Mac and cheese and yams were to die for! This is a spot that is now on my rotation and I will drive the hour happily! Thank you guys for the delicious meal that was clearly prepared with love 🤍 May your business prosper always!

I had order placed an order over the phone for a medium size fried chicken meal. When I came home to eat I didn’t receive any rice my yams weren’t cooked and my mac n cheese wasn’t baked

My daughter insisted on going here due to a TikTok review. We went, sat down and ate & omg- Food was the BOMB! I got a medium plate which comes with one meat & two sides which consisted of whiting fish, w/ Mac & yams- the plate also comes with rice & gravy. I also added a side of collard greens for an additional 5bucks. Everything was seasoned to perfection! Pricing is definitely reasonable. 5 stars all across the board. I gave 3 stars on the atmosphere due to two of the tables we sat at being dirty but other than that, we’ll definitely be coming back again.
