Kenny's Wood Fired Grill

We chose to sit by the bar facing the kitchen. It was actually quieter than the main dining area. It’s nice to see the chefs at work. Potato cakes were real crispy and flavorful. Brie balls were surprisingly appetising and great for starters. Shortribs are tender and juicy and melts in your mouth. NY steak was exquisite and if you’re a medium portion eater, this can serve two. Kudos to our waiter, Zoey who changed our drinks’ glass with a chilled one to keep it cool. Fantastic service!

Kenny's is probably my favorite dinner restaurant in Dallas. I have been here to celebrate every important date in the last 2 years, with family and friends. Of note, the service is outstanding. Everyone is nice, polite, very helpuful and will take care of all your needs. The food is absolutely amazing, freshly made and always in great portions. My personal favorite are the ribs & they are the reason why I will not order ribs anywhere else. They cannot be topped. I have tried several appetizers and some of their other dinner plates, including seafood and steaks, and they have always been great. Desserts are also yummy. Also, peartini is amazing! Truly a gem! Tip: Strongly recommend reservations as they do get busy on weekends.

The wait time even after making a reservation was over 25 minutes, which was not what you expect. There were many folks in the small waiting area near the bar. Service was prompt once we were seated. Drinks and bread were served along with appetizers. The drinks were just ok for the price. My steak was well done when I had asked for medium rare. The steak was replaced but the temperature was still not right. Definitely disappointing. Pricing : High and I dint find value for the money spent. Expectations were really high from Kenny’s but they dint live up to their usual hype.

The meal we had here was phenomenal! My first visit but we will definitely be back! Atmosphere was great - lively but still able to have conversations without having to raise voices. Everyone at the tables around us seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. Our server, Gary, was exceptional. The food was AMAZING. The popover was light and airy. Perfect to start the meal with. The pork chop..so moist & tender. The natural flavor shines through and no sauce is necessary. The crust that forms when cooked is delicious. My partner ordered the ribeye. We were told that we could make it a "surf and turf" by adding either shrimp or a crab cake to the steak. The crab cake was full of lump crab meat and so tasty. The portions here are HUGE!! The piece of chicken that comes on the crispy chicken sandwich was MASSIVE; you can’t even see the full-sized hamburger bun that’s underneath. It was super hot, fresh, and deliciously seasoned. I finished it all 🍴 My side of asparagus was cooked and seasoned to perfection as well, and had the tiniest bit of a light sauce which greatly enhanced the flavor. I want to mention that our original server brought us water and greeted us, only to ignore us and avoid eye contact for 30 mins. I finally grabbed the manager and he was very apologetic and nice. He immediately took our orders, personally went to the kitchen to prioritize our food, and brought it to us himself. He handled it perfectly and is the reason we will be back!!
