Customer Reviews
Most of these reviews are very telling. My mom used to actually go in here a lot and she said they’re just not nice to her so she stopped going. I wanted to check it out for myself and when I did, she wasn’t wrong. Staff has the mentality of old school Filipino snobs and their judging eyes is uncomfortable. I saw one review that said the lady made a nasty remark and can confirm she’s not the best if she thinks she’s the “face” of this business. Food is mediocre. Looks like they tried to renovate, cute effort but should match the customer service. Market could be better set up. It reminded me of the markets in the PI but somehow, less appealing especially with the suplada attitudes. They’re actually a lot nicer in the PI. Tried it and meh. I love exploring Filipino markets/cuisine in the ar
On September 12, 2025, close to dinner., I visited your establishment with the intention of sitting down and enjoying a meal. The initial impression was confusing. The dining area was not clearly defined. It seemed to have been merged with an unorganized retail section, and many of the tables were cluttered with supplies, making it difficult to find a clean, open space to sit. When I ordered food from the display trays, it looked like it is lukewarm at best. An employee, who seemed stressed, took the food to the back and microwaved it. This was a dealbreaker for me, as it raised concerns about food quality and preparation standards. Also the entry doesn’t even include RICE….So I ended up just paying for my initial order and went to eat somewhere else. I ate the food the next day, pork
I wanted to explore more Filipino food after I have tried it for a while. I chose KC Filipino Restaurant because I wanted to try Crispy Pata (Crispy Knuckle) that not many places serve it. (mostly pork belly) When I got inside the atmosphere was very casual and seem like a cafeteria or canteen style with mini mart. It might be very familiar for Asian people like me or Filipino. Too bad that they don't have menu or any food name on display glass counter, so it wasn't quite easy for me to order something else that I wanted to try (besides Crispy Pata). As for the food, Crispy Pata, I was a little upset. (From my experiences) It wasn't crispy enough, a lot of fat/skin parts still sticky and tough. That might be because they didn't fry it long enough and many customers there at that time. As
Food court style restaurant with the entrees already cooked and on display. Got a combo which had 2 entrees and rice. I thought there was way too much rice for the portion size of the entrees. I didn't see the prices posted anywhere but when the food was being put in the box, judging by lunch boxes at Chinese restaurants or stuff you can get at food courts, I was expecting something in the $8-9 range. So I was disappointed at the $13 price and thought it would be hard to be worth that price (it wasn't ). As for the taste, the Beef Caldereta was very tasty but I thought the meat pieces needed to be stewed longer as they weren't very tender. The Chicken Adobo was okay but not as flavorful as I would have expected. I also felt it is not easy for new customers to decide what they want, as no
The take away: I would definitely come back here. The thorough review: A Filipino restaurant with a limited but respectable selection of main courses. After ordering two of the classics for dine in (i.e., bistek and chicken adobo), the cashier asked me just to pay after my dinner—I wasn’t sure if that was the norm or perhaps, she was simply busy helping another customer with another issue. I enjoyed the meal—no complaints. And apparently, they sell bulalo which I may have to try the next time I’m in the area. There is no shortage of parking outside which is a major plus. On the groceries front, I found the prices to be reasonable vs some places in MD that criminally overcharges. Overall, it was a pleasant eating and grocery shopping experience.
