I can’t fly to Thailand right now, but Kay Thai Eatery in Fairfield is definitely the next best thing 🇹🇭✨ Everything I ordered was so flavorful and fresh — I had the Thai tea (a must!), spicy edamame, fried potstickers, Tom Yum fried rice, and the boat noodle soup. Every bite was cozy, bold, and full of authentic Thai flavor. The staff were super friendly, the space felt warm and inviting, and the food came out quickly. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch date or when you’re craving something that tastes like a little adventure. Highly recommend if you’re in Fairfield — this spot is a gem! 🍜🌶️🧋

My mom and I visited for lunch on a Saturday and had a great meal! Nice menu with so many different options, most of which is homemade. The owner is so sweet and makes sure you’re well taken care of while also running the kitchen. I thought it was cool that they had fresh coconut water available, as you don’t see that too often around here! The food was tasty, and we definitely enjoyed the paradise Rama and garlic chicken. Wishing her the best of luck with her new business.

Since we ordered takeout from Kay Thai, I do not think it would be fair for me to comment on the atmosphere. That said, I cannot say enough about the food. I started with the potstickers, which were absolutely delicious and expertly prepared. Next, I had the Tom Yum soup and ordered it medium hot. I especially appreciate that they let you choose your spice level, ranging from no spice to mild, medium mild, medium hot, very hot, and even challenging. The medium hot had a nice kick at first, and the heat continued to build as I ate. It was perfect. In fact, it may have been the best Tom Yum soup I have ever had. For my main course, I ordered their signature Avocado Curry. Wow. It was incredibly flavorful, creamy, fresh, and simply delicious. My wife had the Panang Curry... which she said

Stopped by for a visit at Kay today - first time as we are new to the area. Food was pretty good. My niece enjoyed her drunken noodles. Pad prik khing was ok - way too much oil. My son enjoyed the Fried Tofu. I was more disappointed about the fact that when we walked in we were not greeted, and when we were - we were told that the restaurant was closing in 40 minutes ( despite the website saying 830 and it was only 2pm.). We agreed to eat quickly and ordered right away. Another family came in and were welcomed without the same parameter. No one told them they had 40 minutes to eat... it was very unsettling and hard not to notice. 🫤🫤 wasnt a great feeling.

This eatery is primarily focused on take away service rather than sit down restaurant, creating a very strange atmosphere with all the people coming into the dining room for pick ups; and at busy times you may wait up to half an hour for your food. The waiter will alert you of such situation upon arrival though. The portions are generous and ingredients are of high quality. The main improvement point is the seasoning of food which is extremely sweet. The noodles, the curry, the sauces and even the soup are sugar bombs which detract from the authenticity of the Thai cuisine. A pity because it has potential.
