Food is good. But they have lost their minds when it comes to price. Back 2 years ago when egg prices were ridiculous they raised the price of the southern omlet to $15 and some change. I just got the same omlet today 03-8-2026 and it was $18.65. That is absolutely insane. $20 for this and there’s barely any hash browns and the omlet isn’t even chaulked full of fillings. It would be semi acceptable if the omlet weighed like 2 lbs and was super full. I have been coming to Kate’s for 10 years. I used to get it once a weekend now it’s once every 3-4 months and it will be even longer now.

This place was fantastic. Some of the best breakfast I have had. I had the meatlovers omelette with feta, with potatoes with added grilled onions and peppers along with some biscuits....PERFECTION. Also tried the pecan pancakes...also...PERFECTION. Coffee was fresh. PLEASE GO HERE. IT IS SMALL BUT FANTASIC. Also, they only accept cash or check. I loved it.

It is small cozy place. The food is so worth the wait. The best biscuits and gravy hands down. I’m a southern girl and this is the closest to my grams I’ve ever come. Yumm!! The pies, I cannot say enough. The meringue best ever! The blueberry. Wow! The pecan Too! The staff is wonderful. Well worth your the trip wherever you are. One thing to know. Cash or check only. No card machine.

First and foremost you should know is that they do not take credit cards. Understanding that there are service charges and processing fees that go along with business costs, it is a head scratching choice. In Q2 of 2024 when even street side hot dog vendors are taking electronic forms of payment, It is an eye rolling inconvenience. They will take cash and checks if you still have them. On the weekends this place is always packed, And used to be a staple for our family pre and post COVID. We tend to not visit as often anymore as quality could be hit and miss. The service is always lovely and we've never had a bad interaction with wait staff. They did recently update the interior but we make the kids take hoodies because it's ALWAYS cold inside. On our visit today we got a seat right away
