Karl Miles Lecompte Memorial Library

The Lecompte Memorial Library is as good as you can expect from any Library. It may be small but libraries today are interlinked so you can order books, movies or any other resources offered by any Library within the state. Lecompte also has a nice play area for kids, computers to use and a very quiet setting because it's small and not very busy. Too many people take it for granite but you have the world at your fingertips. They even have Wi-Fi so just about anything you need whether it's entertainment you're looking for or researching something even just a place to sit and relax and do homework it's all available for public use. A younger boy who is about always in the library is disrespectful to the rest of the people who are using the library. He talks very loud, repeatedly, but his worst habit is that he watches things on a computer that are in no way funny, but laughs repeatedly every 15 seconds!!! Very annoying and was never asked to quit or be quieter. We were told that I had to wear ear phones to listen to a CD that was so low, you could hardly hear it!! It might bother the other individuals who were in the library. THE LOUD MOUTH BOY, WHO LAUGHED AT NOTHING FUNNY WAS THE ONLY OTHER PERSON IN THE LIBRARY!!!! But the plus part of my visit, was the lady in charge that day. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and polite!!! You couldn't get anyone better than her if you tried!!!

I decided to drop in and check it out. It's big and in the process of organizing books and movies. Very friendly staff and lots of good places to sit and read.
