Kalamata Mediterranean Cuisine

Wow! This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the service was great, the interior was fancy and beautiful. We ordered the chicken and Gyro pita wrap and they were incredible!! The pita bread is soft and fresh. The chicken was well seasoned, the cucumber and taziki sauce was perfect. We also got some pita bread while we waited and it was like candy, so flavorful it didn't even need a dip! We were here for Sunday lunch around 1pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server (Ariana) was wonderful and provided excellent service. The only criticism is the parking. There is a steep piece of asphalt near the front where you can park, but there are no indications you can park there or how you are supposed to park. After our hike at the Calaveras Big trees, we were looking for a place to eat and google recommended us this restaurant. The wait for just few minutes, the ambience was great and clean and restrooms were clean too. The portion sizes were reasonable but the price was simply exorbitant! A surcharge of 20% at a small town like Arnold seems not acceptable. Do check the prices before you order to avoid surprises. Few items were offered to us like being part of the entree but were actually not. The food was good though but not at Manhattan prices.

Good food. Clean place (felt like it was an Italian restaurant at some point). Vegetarian friendly options are available. Expensive for groups. We had a 20% "large party" surcharge added on top for 6 adults (2 kids + 1 stroller)

Excellent service! Excellent food and wine! Great ambiance! We will go back! Portions are big … had left overs for lunch. We had the flaming cheese (delicious and theatrical), the lamb chops (perfectly medium rare like we wanted) and the gyro plate (delicious)! Soup and salad came with our dishes. And lots of pita with the cheese.

The food, service and atmosphere all were really good and it was worth visiting this place. Had the Hummus, side of Greek salad, falafel pita bread and pistachio crusted salmon. Also the Cabernet wine goes really nice with the food. Highly recommend if you are around Arnold, CA. the staff was very nice and polite. You can sample wine before ordering.
