Kaiyo

Fresh, delicious fish and sushi! We tried the fried calamari, Philadelphia roll, toro special roll, Deep sea roll, and paradise roll. Everything was so delicious, I can’t decide which my favorite was. I was so impressed with the toro, the quality was amazing. We will absolutely be back!

Kaiyo is a great local spot for high-quality sushi. The fish is very fresh, the rolls are well balanced, and nothing feels overdone. You can really taste the quality in both the nigiri and specialty rolls. Portions are solid, and everything comes out looking clean and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed but polished, and the service is friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. It’s an easy go-to for a casual dinner that still feels a little elevated. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

I love this place. I got the chicken bento box and it’s delicious. Came with rice, sushi, miso soup, chicken with vegetables & salad! It’s so delicious. My favorite spot in Mineola to get this. Very kind people too.

Kaiyo has become our new sushi spot. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Also the hot food is spot on, the tempura and teriyaki is fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect for a peaceful and quiet meal. The staff is always so friendly and polite. My family and I highly recommend Kaiyo for delicious sushi and Japanese cuisine.

Tried this place by accident and had the best sushi meal on Long Island in a long time and I’ve been to most of them! This place has Japanese school style flavors! Great fresh sushi. Large pieces of sashimi and the flavors were spot on! The owners are so friendly and chef is great too! Must try!!
