Ka Lae Coffee

Ordered an iced mocha, cold brew, and a cookie. It's a little pricy but a nice place to hang out and stop on the long drive from Kona to Punaluu Black Sand Beach. Plenty of parking, limited seating.

Best coffee I have had on the Big Island and Maui! For-here mugs available to avoid unnecessary waste is a plus. I wish there were more smoothie ingredients but was happy to get a smoothie too, nonetheless.

Incredible coffee shop - lots to offer - probably best one in the area. We got the matcha (w/Macademia nut flavoring) and drip. Luke the barista was very personable and incredibly friendly. We’ll be back if we travel this way again.

The absolute best coffee we had on island! The roaster (dad of the family) really knows how to bring out the nuance of Hawaiian coffee and we greatly enjoyed an Aeropress while there, as well as the bag we brought back home. We were really sad we hadn't bought more, as we never found any other place during our trip that did such a fantastic job handling their coffee. Any time we are on the Big Island from now on, we will drive out of our way to pick up some BOAR coffee at Ka Lae!

This place is so special!! For the 100% ka’u bean drinks, they let you pick light or medium roast (even the espresso)! I had a light roast 100% ka’u oat latte, and I was DANCING! We also got a medium roast pour over that was great, too! We went back after trying it to buy some beans.
