J.R. Chophouse

We had Thanksgiving lunch at J.R. Chophouse in Franklin, NC, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were seated in the back private room, which made the whole experience feel extra special, perfect for a holiday meal. The food was incredible, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The drinks were great too and paired so well with everything we ordered. Our server, Tuck, is truly what made the experience unforgettable. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. If you want a memorable experience like we had, definitely ask for Tuck! We couldn’t have asked for a better Thanksgiving lunch. Highly recommend J.R. Chophouse if you’re in the area!

Professional young host, cute server. The Merlot was yummy, Ceasar salad was good too. Steak was ok. Calamari was good too seemed fresh, very spicy tho. Friendly service. I would come back to try something else. The food took a while to come to the table even though it wasn’t busy.

10 out of 10 would recommend my husband and I came in from out of town not knowing what to expect. EVERYTHING we had was soooo good from the olive oil and bread to the main course. Our server was friendly and attentive and took such good care of us and the drinks were delicious! The live music by the Appalachian Monk was amazing!! Will be visiting Franklin again just to come back to J.R.’s Chophouse!

1st visit today. Outstanding Waldorf salad for me; delicious Buffalo Chicken sandwich for my husband (who rarely orders chicken sandwiches). At 72 young years. I had the most delicious cocktail I've ever had, created by Andrew. This is a beautiful place, with lots of space, and very comfortable seating. We look forward to returning often

Make sure you can make a day of it, we were there for ever. Everything took much longer than expected, getting waited on, food coming out, getting ticket and paying. Think we were trapped there for almost 2+ hours. Food was good, Blooming onion was good, but the large center, wasn't coated it was like it came with a tennis ball sized raw onion in the center of it. Dipping sauce was good. Salad would was a strawberry salad. It would have been better on a plate cuz as you eat it everything falls to the bottom. So at the end you have a bowl full of the toppings. Fish and chips, the fish, chips and the hush puppies were all overdone. Waitress forgot the coleslaw but we finally got that. It was okay. Little vinegary.
