Good homestyle Mexican food restaurant. Friendly and attentive service. Roomy, colorful dining room with cozy colorful booths. Reasonable prices. Great place to hang out with friends or family.

Ashland MO is a little out of the way, but if you're on 63 south of Columbia and like good real Mexican cuisine, it's worth the slight detour into town. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. 4.8/5 (*note that I never give anything a 5/5)

I rarely review businesses unless it’s especially good or bad. I just can’t with this place anymore. We’ve given them multiple chances. It keeps getting worse. First off the service. The three Mexican guys stand off to the side and act like we’re doing them a favor walking in. Ignore us for a few minutes. Take us to table. Forget a few menus. I had to flag them down to give drink order because I needed a Modela to make it through this place experience lol. That takes a while. Then the salsa comes. Very mid. Think Pace picante jar. Ours tonight had large uncut onions. Not enough salt. No lime. Very little cilantro. But wait. And wait some more. And the mediocre food comes out late even with a small crowd. This Jose Jalapeños unfortunately is aware they have the local market cornered. The chips and salsa are standard and good. The iced tea was old and needed remade. I ordered a fajita quesadilla and it was good. The service was beyond weak. Let me reiterate that, I speak Spanish and the service was dismal with only 3 other tables I never saw my waiter but once. Overall, the food is as expected, but they'll need to step it up if competion shows up.
