Had the smothered burrito while driving through the area on a road trip. Wouldn’t necessarily write home about it but had decent service at this casual cafe / diner spot. I do wish the tortilla had been better quality as the carnitas was cooked well and it was a little overtaken by the mushy, store bought tortilla.

I was super excited to come here n was finally able to! Great food, good service.. until it came to the bill. I got overcharged almost $5. Asked for an itemized bill n made sure I wasn’t wrong before going back n asking for the difference back. I was charged $14.50 for the $12.50 2-2-2 meal, $14 for the $13.50 bacon omelet, $3.50 for chocolate milk. Total should’ve been $31~ Yet my bill was $34.~ plus $1.38 for tax. Almost $36 I was charged.. then I tipped $4 so I paid $40 even in the end total. Their correction was to take $34 minus the $31 it was supposed to be n I got back $2.60 in cash after my card was charged.. not sure how that makes sense but I gave up to not cause a scene trying to explain basic math. Don’t want to come back just for this :/

Busy on the weekends. Classic diner food, great service, and good prices. Definitely a smaller spot but it has its merits. I have been several times and every time I got good service, food came fast, and I definitely recommend going here instead of a Dennys or IHOP.

I go into restaurants intending to give 5 stars - I really do. I don’t want to make a difficult job harder than it needs to be, and restaurant-ing is not easy. That said, did not have the best experience here. Seems a little worn inside, but that may be the vibe folks like, but it didn’t sit too well with me. Food started on a high note with the tortilla soup - not bad at all: hardy and flavorful with a little bite of heat. A bit downhill from there. I then had the Mexican Combo Plate and my mate had BLT on whole wheat toast, no mayo. The latter came with mayo - we don’t like to waste food so we kept it to ourselves, trusting they would have gladly replaced it. The tomatoes were a little less than ripe. My plate was passable but hardly inspiring. Little hard to identify by taste what the s
