Joe's Cafe & Donuts & King Cakes

Went to Joe's last night and got my usual red beans and rice. The wife got the Jo Jo special. We also ordered onion rings. When the food arrived it was just above room temperature and the onion rings were cold. We come here very often like no less than 4 nights a week sometimes more. Joe's is convenient as it is very close to home. If this is going to be the norm for food we will go elsewhere. We enjoy Mr. T's cooking and Jo Joe's and another cooks food. Aroneishia, Laura and Jesie as servers.

We had to go coffee and the largest apple fritter I’ve ever gotten. The fritter was flavorful and delicious. I love those crispy edges. The coffee is always piping hot, fresh, and flavorful.

Stopped by Joe’s Cafe & Donuts on Belle Chasse Hwy and had a solid experience overall. I ordered the Cheesey Joe Burger with sweet potato fries—really enjoyed the mix of cheeses on the burger, definitely something a little different. The fries were great, and the fried okra was perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. I also grabbed several doughnuts. Unfortunately, they were out of a few, including the buttermilk and the donut drops—my wife’s favorites. That was a bit of a letdown. Thankfully, they still had the maple, which is my go-to. One disappointment: I found out they’re removing the Hawaiian Joe Burger, even though it’s still on the menu. That one’s always been a favorite, so I was bummed to hear it’s going away. Glazed and regular beignets were delicious. Hot chocolate supersweeet and warm.

Can't go wrong coming to Joe's for your donut needs. Their apple fritters are too large and hard for my taste, but everything else I've had has been good. Their food menu is varied and the portions are satisfying.
