Joe's Bakery

We love to love local small businesses, and Joe's Bakery gives you lots of reasons to love it. The donuts are AWESOME :-) You can tell these are HANDMADE with quality ingredients, wonderfully tasty. Julie and Tracy are always nice and the prices are great! It's always a delight experience to go in, when Joe hears my big mouth he always gives me a shout from 'the back.' Try their CAKES & COOKIES . Everything we have tried has been Incredibly yummy. EVERYTHING IS GREAT HERE! They even have bread crumbs. :-)

This is the best hidden gem in Washington PA! And doesn't get the love it deserves! It's such a quaint little hometown bakery! The donuts are amazing! You might want to get there early though, cause they run out faaaaast! But you can call and place an order!

UPDATE: I went again this morning (9/18/25) and the woman who waited on me was DELIGHTFUL. My day will be a little brighter after basking in her cheerful warmth. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Very good baked goods but a limited selection and a very limited time frame to buy. I haven't been able to catch them open in a few years so I got up ridiculously early to make it happen this morning (arrived before 6 AM on a Saturday). I walked in, was not greeted, and had to listen to the lady behind the counter complaining to another lady. When it was my turn I picked the six donuts I wanted but she only had five in the box so I said I had wanted two of the one kind and she said "you only said one". Why was that necessary? I can see why Joe's is the local favorite. They were all that and a bag of chips. Got the last cinnamon roll at 7 AM, people are not kidding when they tell you premiums and favorites sell out fast here. Got a great selection of donuts and some really good snickerdoodles. Price was totally we're expected to be, service is extremely good. Get there early if you're looking for something specific and I mean 6 a.m.

We were here from Atlanta visiting family and man did we get lucky finding this local spot. We stopped in to get a quick bite to eat and joe was an absolute sweetheart. We were in there for just a few minutes but had a whole conversation and could feel the genuine love he has for his business. We went back the next day and he was all sold out of his donuts but we got some cookies and they were just as good as the donuts from the day before !!
