Joe Fish Seafood Restaurant

Good food & nice atmosphere! I’d come back. We had the small Lobster Roll and Fish & Chips. Both were yummy, good portions and well-presented. Atmosphere was nice too! Feels like an oceanside restaurant, just without the water. Nautical decor with beachy reggae-style music. (Small lobster roll was $36 today 9/11/25, which is typical.)

Visiting up here from NC with the wife for a friend’s wedding, and being originally from this area back in the 1970’s, had to find a place to satisfy my “Clam-Trifecta”! Looked on google and found Joe’s and it did not disappoint. We were sat quickly, the atmosphere was great, service was better than good,and the food was awesome! Wife had the small lobster roll. Pricey at $35 but delicious, I had a cup of clam chowder, 1lb of steamers, and the local “whole-belly” fried clam dinner! Trifecta! All were delicious! We spent a bit but planned to so no worries there. They have other options for anyone to choose from so this local place goes down as highly recommended!

Overall great experience and food. Went for the half price lobster roll after 8pm before the end of the summer. The spicy version of thier calamari was really especially biting into fried jalapeño and peppers. I do wish they served sauce on the side as it was missing that element. The crab cake was good with tons of crab meat in the patty. Lobster rolls are a hit especially for half price. Tons of claw and knuckle meat.

Gave it 3 for a variety of reasons, since, its not just about the food right? Came in tonight, Saturday, 4pm. About 4 or 5 tables occupied at the time and one left shortly after arriving. Our waitress (never introduced heraelf), whose name on the bill said William, was not pleasant. Not friendly, not very attentive, just seemed unhappy. It was definitely a vibe and not one we enjoyed. The lamp shade above our table/booth, behind the hostess stand, was filthy with dust. The AC vents were blasting and blowing towards the table so I can imagine the dust flying around. Floors below table filthy too, gum and food everywhere. Ordered our food and when it came out, a few at a time (which was fine!) there were hardly any words from the waitress. We went on a Tuesday night, when it was pretty quiet, with mostly regulars around the Bar. Good food, nice atmosphere. Very good service. Quite pricey. Dinner for 2 cost us $100. We only ordered regular fare - nothing fancy, NO drinks or appetizers. Water, two regular entrees, one dessert. $100. Good food, but definitely not worth the prices charged.
