Jerk Shack Grill

On a business trip from Chicago. Nice little cafe style place in MALL food court. Food was good but a little bit salty. My shrimp Curry was made on order. Plantains were good. Cabbage was really good but a bit salty. Jerk chicken was good too. Customer service was good. Will be back if at the mall again.

Came for the pineapple bowl, the service was fast, polite, and the presentation was impressive. I don’t take pictures of my food before I eat but this was the exception to the rule. I will be back for another pineapple bowl. Highly recommended, was even asked what I was eating and where I got it from from a local dinery… didn’t disappoint.

He started by saying ” don't look at the menu look at the food!” And I was completely sold! I am from Costa Rica we have a province call Limón, is a little Jamaican in my country… this plate of food was a little of home in the place I less expect. It was amazing!great job guys!!

First off, I am a person that loves jerk food with a passion and go to many different places to try jerk food. I don’t normally do reviews but since this place is in an established mall as GSP I thought I should make a reply. I was skeptical at first on ordering because from the looks of the display the food wasn’t appealing but it had a great aroma coming from the kitchen. I ordered the side Jerk Chicken, since they did not have any jerk pork so be it. The side jerk chicken was so hard to bite into. You could clearly see the chicken was overcooked and I did not taste any jerk in dish. It tasted more on the sweet side than smoky jerk side. Service is poor. Pretty good jerk food items. I mainly get the Oxtail combo from them. Tastes great with steamed cabbage and rice. I also like the Patties they make, both beef and chicken are worth trying.
