Really great executive chef that builds a menu that alternates with the seasonal market. Not only will you leave having a great meal, you can feel good about contributing to the mission of this really extraordinary establishment. Thanks Joanne and Rob for a wonderful experience. JBJ, Thank you for bringing such a positive idea into reality. I hope you find a way to branch out to other communities with similar means and needs. This place has heart to spare. The careful attention to dignity and compassion are evident in their message and their mission. The atmosphere is warm , welcoming, humble and inspiring. John Bon Jovi has a balanced approach to community and public service that is truly heart warming. The menu changes every 2 weeks. Ther are 3 course meals served with love to any and all. If you can not pay, they ask for a modicome of your time to help clear your table or do a dish or two to engage you with their mission. The staff has got it together and well aware of how to treat every guest. OK, the quisne is off the hook. There are skilled chef's the carefully craft each days dishes. We ate dinner at JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River. The restaurant was clean and the volunteers were very friendly and helpful. There are no prices on the menu all they ask for is a 20 donation, if you can afford if not you can pay it forward by volunteering at the restaurant at some time in the future. They offer 3 course meals. Homemade soup or salad. Several entrees, we ordered the special of the night, glazed salmon over vegetables and quinoa and homemade cake with homemade whipped cream for dessert. All of the food was delicious, especially the salmon which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My family and are from California. We’ve been a JBJ fan since the beginning. We were visiting our son who is stationed at McGuire AFB. We took a family trip to JBJ Soul Kitchen because we wanted to give donation to the community. The servers were all very welcoming. The food was excellent! We all enjoyed the experience. Would definitely come back the next time we are in town.

Excellent and friendly service. Outdoor seating options available. The food may not be organic, but is locally farmed. Always a great selection and generous portions. We livye coming here and treating our two special sisters to great food. Eco-friendly take home packaging...Yeah!!! Pay what you can afford or voulunteer to help pay your way.
