Jay's Original Hoagies

This is my fifth time being here and I love it. Only get to come when it’s a snow day, a day off or vacation (they close before I’d get off work normally), but when I do, they’re super friendly and fun to be around. I got my usual: A Jay’s Fave (Roast Beef and Cheese), with everything on it except black onions, cheddar and brown mustard. It’s incredibly tasty and well made. Too many places stuff too much into the sandwich, so when you take a bite, tons of the ingredients fall out… but not here. You take a bite and everything stays in place. If you’re free during the afternoon and craving a sandwich, this local operation is well worth it!

Everything great they said about Jay's is true. The bread is fresh and delicious! I went qith J's recommendation on his lost popular "The Italian" He asked how I spicy I wanted it, and met my light spice demand. The oil & vinegar mixture with the peppers was delicious. I went qith 12" asked to eat 1/2 there and make the rest to go. I ate at 2pm, left my other 1/2 on my counter till 6pm, it was just as good as it was at 2pm. Definitely going back. The atmosphere is basic, but all I need is a table and chair to eat.

Delicious! My new favorite sandwich shop! Jay and Rob are great, and the sandwiches are thoughtfully made with perfect meat/cheese/veggie ratios. They build them in a way that nothing squishes out as you eat. The flavors are so good. It's a little hole in the wall type of place where you could sit and eat. I took my order to go, and it traveled well. Service was super friendly and I will absolutely go back. I'm so pleased!

IMO, a sandwich shop should have bologna. That being said, my sandwich tasted great. A little pricey for the size. It was a little dark in the restaurant, and definitely lacked sufficient seating. The owner came over and had a good conversation with us, and was very friendly. I recommend trying at least once. But, unfortunately, prices would need to come down to make it a regular stop.
