Jason's Deli

First time here and we'll definitely be back! We both got a Sammie (spicy Sicilian and Chicken Caprese Panini) which were pretty great. Very flavorful and his left a nice kick on the lips and tongue. I also got the salad bar and that's the real highlight for me. For about $10 you get lovely fresh ingredients, and a wide variety at that. Let's see what I can remember outside the standard salad bar regulars.... artichoke hearts, cukes, various peppers, marinated olives, feta cheese, cheddar and a white cheese, like 5 different kinds of lettuce/spinach, tomato of course, black bean and corn salsa, carrots, creamy broccoli salad, potato salad, pasta salad, hummus, tzaziki, whole eggs, croutons, sunflower seeds, walnuts, crans, pepitas, fried onions....and just more than I can remember. I don't think l'd order again. The pictures make the portion sizes look way bigger than what you're getting. Here I used a nickel for scale. I don't think the Italian Pasta Salad and American Potato Salad are made fresh it's hard to tell, the potatoes have the quality of grocery store potato salad (grainy, waterlogged taste). The pasta has the texture of grocery store pasta salad (gummy, feels like chewing gum and hard to swallow??) and tastes SO bland, they should toss more dressing in there (if it's house made). Definitely would never pay $6 for this sorry Breakfast Sammy though. Everything needs salt. EVERYTHING was bland!! The photos on their site/doordash are extremely deceiving. I had big chef. All of the ingredients were fresh. I would have liked to more mixed salad greens than lettuce. The fruit cup was nice. You could tell that I was made that day. All of the fruit had its natural taste. The brownie hard a crunchy top and a chewy middle.

The free ice cream was okay but it felt like sand in my mouth and the cone was so tiny and small. The Beafster was the WORST sandwich I’ve ever consumed in my entire life… but you can’t go wrong with salt and vinegar chips. It was so salty and it had way too much meat and cheese, which was not worth the $14. Also, we asked for a simple paper bag but we received a massive plastic grocery bag instead! However, the servers were very nice nonetheless and they treated us well. The chicken sandwich was good. The ambiance was terrible, I hated the lighting and the bathrooms were dirty. The seats were stained. The wallpaper is too brown. Also, there is a thing called five person seating which was not apparent during my visit.

My husband and I haven’t been to a Jason’s deli in a long time, but I really wanted a pesto chicken panini and it did not disappoint, and it was exactly what I was wanting! He had the New York Yankee and it was stacked with meat. Could have used more mayo/sauce but that’s a personal preference. It was nice to sit down and not feel rushed to enjoy our lunch. We didn’t try the free ice cream and didn’t notice it until we were leaving. The unsweetened iced tea wasn’t cold in the canisters, but that is the only negative I have to say about our meal.
