Awwwww! This is such a sweet little library. The staff sit right near the entrance which makes it so easy to get help if you need it. It is one of the ONLY places on Highway 20 you’ll find free wifi, they host community activities and kids events, meals for kids home in the summer and back up to a nice playground and the Fort Braden Community Center. The building is just lovely with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. It’s a great place to find good reading, a quiet place to hang out, internet access and a friendly face.

My family LOVES coming to this library! They have a great selection of adult & children's books. We love checking out DVDS, too, and watching family movies together. Much better than Netflix! We go and get a stack of kids books, and our children love all of them. The librarian is very nice, and always helpful. They have events for families, like Lego nights, and other things. Definitely a great location..I highly recommend!

I absolutely hate the rude comments on here about Monica. She is one of the nicest ladies I've ever met. My kids love her to pieces. She is always so very helpful and loves all the babies. When they have Lego day she interacts with all the kids. She is a big part of the community and goes above and beyond. I've never had any issues going to this library and every trip is always a pleasure. We miss Monica any time she is away. Everytime my kids see her they run and give her the biggest hug. All the rest of the staff is amazing and helpful as well.

The library itself is alright for the area. The 2 regular employees are good librarians. The problem is the "volunteer" Monica that is there every single day, from open to close anytime the library is open. This person is nosey, overbearing, condescending and completely unnecessary .There is not enough patrons coming and going to this library to warrant a third person all the time . Possibly , a different diversity of volunteers would be a good thing if possible . Lastly the computers are slow and the large scanner printer doesn't have all the capabilities properly functioning. Monica likes to get in your business about the computer, like you don't know how to use it, but it's just slow! I avoid this library as much as possible because of this .....

FB library used to be a great resource for a rural community; unfortunately it's been hijacked by a know-it-all volunteer that's there all the time. I used to take my kid to lego club; however when I would tell my son not to run or jump, the volunteer Monica would say "Oh no that's okay", and then he would get too rowdy and a librarian would tell him to stop. I don't appreciate anyone contradicting what I say as a parent. It's rude and disrespectful. After several awkward and passive aggressive conversations, I decided legos wasn't worth the hassle. Occasionally I need to use the library computer for a quick project not requiring assistance but it's no longer user friendly. I think this volunteer is using a community helper position to be a gossiping, interfering busy body.
