Fritanga El Tuani

I am so happy I found this Nicaraguan spot in Tallahassee! The service was friendly and quick. The food was made to order so it was very hot and fresh. I had the carne asada which was tender, properly seasoned, and delicious. The fried cheese, plantains, and gallo pinto (rice with beans) were all very good and hot. I also had a cacao to drink and it was amazing. I would definitely return to this location and I recommend it to everyone! I loved this place.

This place is absolutely delicious, I truly cannot recommend it enough. The food is authentic Nicaraguan fritanga and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I have ate the chicken and the steak fritanga bowls and both are equally delicious. The portions are big; if you have a small stomach you will probably only eat half the bowl. To be frank, this place fills a void in Tallahassee that few other restaurants fill and I wish this place all the success because this should be a full-fledged restaurant. Give it a try and whatever you get, also get the fried cheese and a Milca.

Excellent representation of food from. Nicaragua. They are missing some staples, but I think once they gain clientele they will add more options. The queso frito is delicious, eat it fresh. Update: Stopped in today to have the Nacatamal and a plate of pollo with gallo pinto, maduros, with extra queso frito and everything was superb. The nacatamal is authentic and includes a majority of the ingredients you’d expect in a traditional one. Make sure to get an extra side of queso frito.

We got the steak dinner. It was delicious! Steak was tender, rice and beans were great, the additional fried cheese was absolutely devine! Definitely will be back to try more things!
