Jamaica Jerk Pit

This is exactly why people think Jamaicans are rude and unpersonable. I’ve been dying to try this restaurant. I get here and I’m not greeted I’m told “you got to get out we’re closed” and for a place to close at 7:00 Pm? That’s no way to make money at all. Didn’t even get to try the food and I 100% never will. Sad…

Definitely will recommend others. Customer service was beautiful, food was fantastic, clean establishment, fresh well seasoned food items, and good portions. I'll try seafood next trip.

I never tried Jamaican food before so I decided to try it out today(I got the chicken curry 🍛 ) and I’m glad that I did. It’s a great Bursting of flavors you get , and I love the smell of the food. I love the rice and beans. The chicken was flavorful and full of spice. The cabbage was a great addition to the plate. The inside of the place seems new but overall great experience if you’re looking for something new instead of fast food.

They never answer the phone. Even when the workers say that they accept orders by phone, I find this to be impossible. I once called them 6 times repeatedly and still no answer. The next day I called again - no answer. In terms of service, they could do a better job at ensuring the food doesn’t take 40 minutes to make. I waited over 40 minutes and missed the entire second half of an NFL game. It wasn’t even a big order. Only one order of Jerk Chicken. The workers will keep telling you “don’t go anywhere, your order is almost ready”, then 25 more minutes will pass by. Great food, amazing food. But the service and hours of operation are trash. They almost make it impossible to order from them.

I’m disappointed to be writing this, the food was good even though I noticed that the curry for the curry goat was more so like gravy. The customer service was all right. But the main reason for the low score is that I got food poisoning from eating here. Which means there’s some type of cross contamination or lack of cleanliness. So be mindful of eating here. The food was good, but at what cost, I’ve been suffering for days.
