First timer. That was excellent. Drove from Gresham to eat here and it was worth it. Had the jerk chicken and it was perfectly spicy. Seasoning was excellent and the chicken was juicy. Also enjoyed the beans and rice. The owner was a pretty cool dude and the girl helping out was very kind. Thanks for the great lunch.

I took my girls (My lady & our daughter) to this spot for V-Day! My lady absolutely loved the food. As well as my daughter & I. I was a little tight they ran out of Oxtail before we arrived. I'll call ahead going forward.

WELL - We tried this "new-to-us" JAMAICA HOUSE restaurant, on Saturday and had a PHENOMENAL REUNION! As it turned out, Chef Simba Puma and my daughter go way back from his days as Chef in the Hollywood Hills serving LA's elite in the Hip Hop music era! We had a shout-out and reminisced to past PDX Caribbean Chef, ICONS, Grenada Caribbean Chef Regis, & Jamaica Homestyle, Chef Ka-sia! We had the Jerki-akhi Chicken, Curried chicken, and Oxtails with rice n peas and cabbage AND an order of THE MOST, ORIGINAL, SUBPURB, Mac n cheese and Coco bread! WOW!! You've definitely got to try some! And, as we live in Salem, I ordered the curried, Goat, meal to go! y’all Jamaica House is a whole experience. 🔥🇯🇲💚 Come for the goat, stay because you’re suddenly swapping ancestral stories after being welcomed by a fluffy, chatty cat and a sweet pup like you just pulled up to family’s house. Tender, flavor-packed goat, rice and beans soaked in gravy, cabbage on the side — plate gone in minutes. Absolute joy.

We left fat and happy. What more is there to say? The jerk chicken was a flavor explosion and the beef patty hit just right! The owner is kind, welcoming and his food is on point!
