Jalapenos Mexican Grill - Lima

Found this gem many years ago. Have went a total of about 10 times when we are in the area. About the 5th time, I started noticing it was not the same quality and it seemed unkept. I stopped in today and was pleasantly surprised by a much cleaner facility and greeted very warmly by what I am assuming is new ownership. Worth saving and worth the effort! It was delicious. Keep going.

Love Jalapeños. Been a customer for years. Food is always good. Services is typically good. However, tonight 12/22/25 at 7pm, I was told they were totally out of white rice. I find that hard to believe and it being more likely the staff not wanting to make more. Worst service I have ever received at the Shawnee location.

This was my first time here. The employees were nice, and the food was good and very filling.

I usually come here every week. Have been for years now. Lately the burritos have gotten smaller and smaller. This last time might be the LAST time. I used to constantly tell ppl to go there cause the size of the burritos will blow your mind. It was their 'thing. It USED to be worth the money, now there's not really 'that thing' to keep you coming back. Most unfriendly employees in years. They almost make you feel like you're imposing. They should definitely hire a new crew! Now, there's no difference between the Big Burrito and the smaller one. Same size. Depends on the employee, no standard anymore. Customer service is half the job. If employees don't want to be there, go work elsewhere. You're running longtime customers off. Go back to the old way jalapenos! See you then.

Food was good. The employees on the other hand clearly where not happy to be there and you could clearly read that when they were serving you. They were not mean but they were unhappy and frowning the entire time.
