This was of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Jakey's Fork captured our hearts and imaginations; it's like we were going back in time. You can see why Butch Cassidy chose this sweet little hideaway to hide out from the law. We spent our evenings by the campfire right next to the clearest, freshest trout water creek you'll ever find, flowing down from Whiskey mountain. To the north are the painted Badlands which is something everyone must see. ||We loved staying in the bunk house, built in the 1880's. The bed was great and we are picky. The gentle sounds of the creek put us into deep sleep every night. Stayed during the trout run in October for two nights during a new moon. Pitch black with beautiful skies; more stars than I've ever seen in my life. Caught a brown trout in the private fishing spot on the property and cooked it for dinner. Been traveling for work for a decade, and this is my most memorable location. Highly recommend, and if you feel a spiritual presence at the fishing hole, it's probably me revisiting it mentally. 100%, book this location for hiking trips to Yellow Stone and Teton. Don't hesitate. The owner is amazing, too, and made me feel so welcome.

My fiancé and I have traveled to various countries this year and have stayed at too many places to count. Our stay here has certainly been the most memorable. We loved the bunkhouse and the beautiful nature that surrounds it. It has everything you'll need for a relaxing stay: it is very clean, spacious, and stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. The real gem, though, is Carolyn, the host. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and just a very cool lady to chat with. We've always wanted to find a comfortable cabin, by a stream, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. On a recent visit to Wyoming our son alerted us to Carolyn's Jakey's Fork Homestead near Dubois. What a wonderful place. Comfortable, historic, and peaceful. Fishing on the nearby Wind River wasn't bad either. Carolyn, the owner, was a delight - helping us explore a valley that we'd previously overlooked, close to the Tetons, but so much less expensive and less crowded than Jackson. We'll be back. My wife and I were visiting friends in Dubois for a couple of days and were so happy with Carolyn and her B&B on Jakey’s Fork of the Wind River. The old cabin where we stayed with our dog has been turned into a charming and functional guest house. Carolyn’s delicious breakfast with scrumptious pastries will get you started on your day. ||I can’t wait to get back to Jakey’s Fork for more of Carolyn’s hospitality.
