Jakes Burgers

Nice looking place, clean, plenty of screens for games. The server Xavier was really friendly and attentive. I got the double cheeseburger. I thought it was just ok. The cheese was not fully melted and the patty was so so. The fries came separate and it was hand cut but needed to be crispier and the center was a tad undercooked. My wife chicken fried steak did look good and my son’s chicken tender looks good too. Overall food was fine but not at its best if my particular order was a one off. I get my dog bathed ata shop near by and a great place to have a meal and kill time.

4.5 overall. Lunch Menu didn't notice one but then again??!! The food, I met an old buddy and got side tracked with the pictures. However not all quesadillas are the same. The burger quesadilla comes with a traditional tortilla wrapped around the very tasty burger and it's topping, However the Chicken Bacon Ranch to my surprise had an untraditional and very flaky but fluffy crust around it. Which was not only a deight to experience but a delight to enjoy, Dipped in a nice side of Thick Ranch and Followed with an A La Carte side of cheese curds. Got a Souvenir pint glass for $5 and $5 Shiner Bocks (Schooner) Also got a sugar cookie? I think Strong Drink the lady loved... Enjoy, Plenty of screens, plenty of sauces, and plenty of drinks .

I ordered eight items to go. I picked them up, and the lady quickly handed me the bag. I didn't check the entire order because there were several items, and besides, the receipt was stapled to the bag. When I got home, I realized the chicken burger was missing. The restaurant was empty, only three people at the bar, so there's no excuse for them being super busy. Also, one of the orders of fries was only half full. I think for the price, this is ridiculous. People need to learn to do their job properly, that's all.

My first “Jake’s burger “ was in 1985 On Skillman in Dallas Jacob “Jake “ Keller’ was the nephew of Jack Keller ( founder of Keller’s Hamburgers ). Jake grew up in San Antonio and moved to Dallas to start Jake’s in 1985 He sold the business and over the years others have owned it. Current ownership has done a fantastic job of providing great burgers a more diverse menu and a sports bar atmosphere. April at the Sachse location greeted and seated us. Her attentive service was excellent! Had a cheese burger and onion rings. It was very good and the poppyseed bun was delicious. The Frito pie is a winner. They also have a breakfast menu. If you are looking for a classic burger in a sports restaurant, this is perfect.

It's been a while since we had Jake's Burger. I forgot how was tasty it was! The burger never disappoints. We got the Jake's Special. It's huge and filling, and the fries were crisp. Too bad they don't have one closer to where we live but we will be stopping by again soon.
