I asked a local guy on the beach who was collecting puka shells where to get Loco Moco? He paused and said “Jacks Inn”. He mentioned it was a local spot with cheap prices but its in the industrial area of town. I made the road trip, found it and it really was old school in a positive manner. Full of locals, no AC, ceiling fans are at full blast, old time booths and tables and chairs. The even had a table for one. A grandma will come out and take your order and you have a hard time understanding her because shes wearing a mask. They offer a nice cold glass of water with ice The food came out and I was a little surprised. It was servered with corn on the side. It was excellent addition to the meal. I think the corn was canned corn. This Loco moco was the best on Maui. I’ve tried ove
Meyong and her 2 boys (Jordan and Brandon), serve up tasty breakfast and lunch. Jordan is usually in the back cooking up onolicious grinds while his brother Brandon is out front serving it up. We usually go for breakfast. The International Omelet (w/fried rice & gravy) and Banana pancakes are the best on island. This is where the locals go to eat so you know the food is ono!
Lived here my whole life and never ate here until recently -- everything was great! We scored parking + a corner booth during their rush. We knew what we wanted and the food came out quick, hot, and sooo 'ono! Enjoyed every single bite and will definitely be back. Mahalo nui! 🤎jenn
It was 1990-something when my friend told me we were going to eat at Jack's Inn. Fine. After we walked in, I walked right out. There were more condiments on the wall than in the containers. So why the change of heart? Because I'm on a mission to find Maui's best saimin now that my beloved Archie's in Wailuku is long gone. ATMOSPHERE: They're located in a small warehouse-looking building in the Kahului Industrial Park on the west side of Alamaha between Hanamau & Hanakai. Seating is a mix of tables and booths in a very casual setting made bright and even a bit cheery with lots of natural light via the plentiful windows. Condiments were all in their containers this time, thankfully! MENU: Breakfast selections, local-style plate lunches, saimin, dry mein, burgers, sandwiches, simple salads.
Jack's Inn Breakfast Spot is a comfort food restaurant that is located in the industrial area. A MUST TRY place for simple and delicious food! Crispy hash brown, savory dry mein, and their delicable french toast is what individuals we experience with a full stomach!
