JA Spice Island Jerk & American Food

Tried this place for the first and only time and you talk about thoroughly disappointed. I don't know if because of the location they think no one will know better but this was horrible. Check the pictures you talk about stingy with the food. The whole order was $29. I ordered Jerk pork with cabbage and baked Mac n cheese. I received a pork chop with jerk season on it and the faked Mac n cheese if y'all wasn't going to fill it you should have put it in a smaller container. It looks like someone gave me their leftovers. These pictures are literally just open up and have not been touched. Then they have everything hidden so you cannot see what's going on there. Again thoroughly disappointed.

Honestly everything was so so delicious and the food was absolutely made with love. I got the brown stew chicken with, Mac and cheese, and plantains. Also got two beef patties because they were so delicious!! Can’t wait to go back!

I’m from the Bronx and had Caribbean food around the globe. Their Oxtails are nothing short of spectacular! I stop by at least twice a weekend, sometimes all three days! Valerie the Owner and host is a beautiful soul that knows how to make you feel welcome! Easily the best in NJ!

So I was very excited to see this amazing Jamaican restaurant in Netcong NJ. I ordered a pasta with shrimp and jerk chicken, it was $27 for the plate and I was so happy to taste this food. When I got my plate it was dry and my chicken was chicken breast cut up, I was disappointed because I wanted the taste of the bone and the spice of the jerk wasn’t there. Im from Brooklyn and my parents are Jamaican so I know what I was tasting and it wasn’t good.

All I can say is I'm in disbelief at the presentation an the taste of the food. It was horrible. And I have ordered from here several times in the past!! But today. I am upset I ordered. It wasn't good at all!!
