One of the saddest "Prime Rib French Dips". The meat looked liked it was shaved what little there was. Dry, obviously had been sitting for awhile. The serving tray was wooden, with deep scratches. Not sure how sanitary it was. Running wood thru a dishwasher is never a good idea. My beverage was cold! Definitely not worth the $30+ for lunch.

I recently visited J. Macklin’s Grill for brunch and had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is casual but elevated - great for catching up with friends or a low-key date. We ordered the chicken fried steak and the fish and chips. My friend said it was the best fish and chips he’s had in the DFW area, and the house-made tartar sauce was a standout! We ended the meal with the apple cobbler and ice cream, which I highly recommend. A huge thank you to our server, John, who provided excellent service and made the experience even better. Also, you can't beat $16 mimosa carafes. They have specials nearly every day. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in while visiting in town and this place did not disappoint! Food was great! Hot food. Fresh food and flavorful! Drinks were perfect!

Taylor exemplifies white-glove service behind the bar. She crafts phenomenal drinks while giving every one of her loyal guests the attentive, personalized care they deserve—especially after a long day of work.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere — it’s a welcoming and comfortable spot. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the setting for us. The flavors felt a bit mild, and we were hoping for a little more variety or creativity on the menu. We also found it somewhat difficult to identify options that fit specific dietary restrictions. We’d love to see the menu expand or evolve, because this space has so much potential to be a standout in our community.
