J Brooks Coffee Roasters

I really enjoy many of their roasts , a variety for different times of the year , currently enjoying the Peaberry . One of our regulars is the Peru Organic and the Brazil and we really love the Onyx in the winter .. picked up a shirt at the roaster last week , great folks .

When I say 10/10 coffee!!! I mean that!! Onyx is my new favorite. So glad I pick this up at South pointe grocery before the winter weather we are experiencing because this is helping a WFH mom and wife!!! A little more pricey by a $1 or $2 from my community brand coffee but it is worth it. Well definitely purchase again.

Got a French Press for Christmas and have been making some delicious coffee. I wanted to try some high quality coffee and coarse ground can be difficult to find at the store. I stopped by J Brooks and picked up three bags of their various dark roast coffees. All three are even better than I could have imagined. Deep, rich, creamy and bold. So smooth. Zero bitterness. The Onyx had hints of chocolate and a long finish. The aroma permeated the whole house for hours after I had brewed. It made me crave another pot. The Bootleg was more complex than a fine cabernet. Every sip I discovered something new. The Gallant was super bold and rich. It's what you expect from fine gourmet coffee. Don't be afraid of the dark. There is no bitterness here, only rich creamy smoothness.

I couldn't say enough good things about John and his son David. They are extremely passionate about the coffee they make and I've tried every medium and dark roast they roast. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is a must try in my opinion.

Good people. Great service with an excellent attitude. The coffee is off the chain good. How blessed we are to have such a world-class roaster here in Memphis. Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself to J Brooks Coffee ! You will be glad you did.
