J. Alexander's Restaurant

We visited J. Alexander’s for the first time to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was perfect—dim lighting and a quiet, intimate ambiance. The entire staff was professional and well-presented, but a special shout-out to Morgan and Jeff, who were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The food arrived quickly and was delicious; the steak was genuinely the best I’ve ever had. We finished with the chocolate cake, which is absolutely out of this world! This is the perfect spot for any special occasion. We’ll definitely be back!

We arrived early and plenty of seating. Things I noticed when we entered was a relaxing atmosphere and comfortable seating. Excellent bar area. Our waiter, Trey was on top of things during our visit. We made reservations and mentioned that it was our birthday for both my wife and I. When we were seated there were 2 birthday cards signed by the staff. Nice touch. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Salmon dip and crispy bread slices were tasty as was the spinach queso and chips. The pan seared cod was delicious and a huge piece as well with spices that complement the fish well. The spicy chicken sandwich was high on flavor. Jumbo shrimp dish was fried to the correct temperature with a tasty sauce. Hi- Im not from here but I wanted somewhere to go thats nice and intimate- Kinda glad folks were leaving cus the kids and grandmas?? it was ALOT. However, We got our table, and our waitress, and i cannot remember her name, but she was very sweet!( from stL like me and she been been here since2016) and she never let on my friend paid for my dinner, It was 51st Birthday!!! Now- The lemondrops was DROPPING, the macncheese? ON POINT! The deviled eggs, The Queso, and the salmon dip- 5 STARZ!!!!! Then the New Strip steak? OMG teach me how to cook a med rare steak!!!! Then my friend had the rare steak, and I asked could I try it- Let me Telll YALL- THAT WAS THE BEST!!!!!! Ive never EVER had a rare steak, and the AuJus?! It was Soooooo Good!!!!! And my bday desert, The chocalate cake? OMG!!!!!!

Excellent experience and meals at J. Alexander’s! Me and my fiancé went here for our anniversary and they were so kind in treating us well. They gave us a signed happy anniversary card, food came out quickly, and free carrot cake (best part!) We will definitely come here again for another date or anniversary dinner!

My husband and I dropped in on a Tuesday evening. We sat at one of the tables in the bar area. The atmosphere was laid back and service was on point. We each ordered the steak Maui. It was grilled to perfection with a delicious teriyaki marinade—every bite was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You really can’t go wrong here. I paired it with shoestring fries and my husband had the mashed potatoes. Highly recommend!
