Visited this place twice and was impressed both times. BEST SHRIMP AND GRITS EVER! The omelette had everything but the kitchen sink if you want and the ingredients so fresh! Unbelievably fluffy pancakes! Top notch!!

Update: The restaurant was true to their word and refunded what they overcharged me. I honestly didn't think it would be worth calling them 2 days later because I didn't think they would believe me and I am 4 hours away so I chalked it up to money lost. I do truly appreciate that y'all made it right. I changed my rating to a 3 star. As I said before, The food was outstanding and the portions were perfect but the staff needs to be a little friendlier and more welcoming to get a five-star in my opinion. We entered this small restaurant and stood there for a moment trying to figure out what to do until someone told us we could either order from the menu at the register or go through the hot bar. What an amazing little cafe for breakfast and lunch. Chicken and dumplings were amazing. Recommend this for anyone. They have a small menu and the daily buffet choice. Can't go wrong.

So, so good! Small cafe in Apalachicola that serves breakfast and lunch. We stopped in for breakfast. I visit the area a few times a year from Central Florida. I stopped in for the first time at lunch today. I was a bit confused by the setup. Instructions at the entry would help. My rueben was good, but nothing special. I liked the idea that the fries were hand-cut, but they were limp. Two tables near me received great service, multiple check ins from the waitress, refilled iced teas….like they were family. I had my sandwich dropped off (literally) and was never checked on again. I would like to have had some extra Thousand Island, but I certainly didn’t feel I should have to go to the counter to ask for it when I had already tipped 20% - why must I tip up front? I don’t carry cash. I did without the extra dressing. The cashier grumbled at me. The waitress grumbled, “Have a go
