Customer Reviews
We have made two trips to Istanbul since we enjoyed our first visit so much. It is a nice quiet family run Mediterrean restaurant. We were seated and waited on right away. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is fabulous. Portions are ample and prices are reasonable. There is free off street parking at the restaurant. Don't forgwt to look up at the amazing light fixtures.
A Delightful Taste of Turkey in Tucson! We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Istanbul Mediterranean Cuisine & Bar in Tucson. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The menu is filled with fresh, flavorful Turkish and Mediterranean dishes made in-house—from tender doner kebabs and vegetable-filled wraps to vibrant salads and rich desserts. Every bite showcased quality ingredients and authentic flavor. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help us navigate the menu. The chefs (and the whole family behind the scenes) clearly take great pride in their craft. Whether you’re a vegetarian or a meat-lover, they’ve got you covered with something vibrant and delicious. If you’re looking for a restaurant
What a surprise! Have experience in the middle East. This took me back. Spicy chicken pita sandwich is mildly spicy and came with a mound of fries. The beef/lamb pita sandwich had a minimum of 1/2 lbs of tender meat. Of course, lots of fries. Almost perfect except for two items. The pita itself was not as special. Good, not great. I'm not a fan of onion, but a sweet thinly sliced purple onion is needed. The onion was big chunks and my oh my strong. We will be back as the prices are fair, the menu extensive, and it is a nice sit down place. Good service and no long wait for food.
Mom’s (my lil friend) favorite Mediterranean eatery. The food is always good, fresh and plentiful. Customer services is consistent not overly friendly and they know their menu well. The price matches the portions.
No doubt the food was delicious, but I don’t think they show Turkish cuisine/culture in a way that it should be. Turks do not call spinach pastry (börek) as spanakopita. It wasn’t even börek though. It was like they bought a frozen spanakopita and heated it. Turks do not call yogurt+cucumber sauce (cacık) as Tzatziki. Also, cacık should be more liquid than Tzatziki. Izgara köfte (meatball) was too dry. Iskender kebab was just good. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t close to Turkish standards. They forgot to bring yogurt with it. We reminded them. Overall, this place is serving a good copy of Turkish-like food with a Greek product and advertisement.
