Island Coney

Every Saturday Shannon and I go to a different place for lunch. We are doing the alphabet lunch. Today we were on "I" and choose Island Coney on Grosse Ile. This is our first time dining at this place and we were not disappointed. Julie was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. She welcomed us for the first time and gave some great recommendations off the menu. We asked if our hash browns could please be well done throughout. As you can see in the picture, the hash browns were perfect. The cooks at this place know how to please their customer and give them exactly what they ask for. We ordered the Western and Country Omelette's and they were excellent. We give this place a 5 out of 5 stars. We will definitely go back to try something else on their menu

Update Jan 2023: Consistent delicious coneys + fast and friendly service. Dearborn dogs cooked to perfection with crisp casing and juicy inside. Chili cheese fries worth fighting over. Breakfast always yummy & filling. Indoor + outdoor seating.

Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the delicious tomato basil grilled cheese. The coleslaw was a little sour for my taste. But I was impressed with how good the coffee was for a coney! Our waitress struggled a bit with our checks and the menu was tough to look at but the food was good!

This was our first time visiting this place. We were really happy with the service and the breakfast was great!! The french toast was the best!

I take my kids to Island Coney a few times a month. It’s our favorite Coney Island. Good diner food, the service is always friendly, and great prices!
