Visited last night and did the counter tasting, and it was such a unique, thoughtful experience. Everything felt perfectly timed, nothing was rushed. The ambiance was quiet, relaxed, and very chill. It was easy to settle in and actually have a conversation. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience feel warm and inviting. The food was phenomenal! Truly a hidden gem in Columbus. My favorite course from the tasting was the citrus dish, which completely changed my mind about oranges and green olives. Two things I normally wouldn’t gravitate toward came together in the most surprising and beautiful way. The combination sounds odd, but it was absolutely lovely. Well done all around, we’ll definitely be back. Can’t wait to try something new

Excellent tasting menu offered by Isla. Communal dining with like-minded diners but there is a chef’s table if you prefer. The food looks and tastes very good. Quantity is more than ample. As most reviewers have mentioned, quite creative combination of ingredients by Chef Andrew, mostly new for me actually. So all in all a very interesting and wonderful experience. Together with chats from fellow diners as well as a variety of drinks available, it will be an enjoyable social dining night for tasting menu fans. Reservations required. Quick, prompt and polite service from everybody including chef’s wife Devoney. There is ample neighborhood parking in Merion Village. Menu will eventually rotate, so cannot wait for Chef Andrew’s next iteration. Highly recommended!

A new top-dog, Michelin-caliber restaurant just opened in town, and we were lucky enough to sit at the chef’s table. It was incredible getting to watch the chefs in action — you don’t get that experience very often, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. The service was amazing, and I loved the community vibe too. We ended up meeting several people, which says a lot coming from us since we’re usually not the type to mingle. Such a great overall experience.

Incredible dining experience unlike any other in Columbus. The communal dining option was perfect for a date night. We got to meet other people and have great conversation while enjoying amazing food! Chef Andrew comes up with unique dishes using locally sourced high quality ingredients. Give it a try for a special occasion or just a nice night out. You won’t be disappointed!

This review is very late as we were one of the lucky ones to dine at Isla the first week of their opening, even though we didn't realize that until the very end. Our dining experience with the wonderful chef Andrew, his wife as the main server and the rest of their team, was intimate, enjoyable and memorable. We were very kindly seated at the chefs table as it was our anniversary and we had a lovely experience with top notch service. The food courses were creative and well thought with a special focus on making delicious dishes with local and sustainable ingredients and minimal waste. It was not a meal but truly an experience. Would highly recommend!
