Another great discovery! There is a little sign on a side road decided to check it out and so glad I did! A lot more than just a basic fish market. A great selection of prepared foods, pies and fish dishes that make it easy to bring home dinner.

SUMMER IS FOR PAPER PLATE MEALS! I love going to the Ipswich Shellfish Market. They always have a great selection of fresh shellfish and BEAUTIFUL seafood. The pricing is fair, too! The folks who work there are knowledgeable and very friendly. I am happy to spend my money here, and I would more often if they were open every day :) Tonight we enjoyed some steamers from the Dutch oven on the grill and some simply delicious haddock tacos (with tortillas from Burrito Spice, another Ipswich FAV) WE LOVE IPSWICH SHELLFISH MARKET!!

Unbelievably fresh seafood. The choices can vary but always a large selection. The fresh swordfish fillet was perfectly cut, and again, incredibly fresh. It had NO fishy smell, a sure sign of freshness. I tried my hand at a baked lobster tail too.

Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff and most importantly a really nice quality product. They do a great job making sure their oysters are alive and well when you purchase them. I ordered 2 dozen Norumbegas and every one of them was fresh, large, and most importantly alive! They kept in a fridge for 2 days no problem... highly recommended for any seafood product!!!
