IORIO Deli and Coffee Stop

Ordered the sloppy joe and it’s the best I’ve had with over 40 years of ordering these all over the state. Oh, they also have a large banquet room in the back to rent for events.

Had the pleasure of stopping into Iorio Deli with friends Eric from Cultinary Road Trip and Tyler from Foodula. Had the chance to meet “The Boss” Gilda and her son Joe as well as the rest of the very friendly and helpful staff here. We tried a plethora of things so this may take a minute haha. Started off with two stuffed breads - A Reuben as well as a Pepperoni roll. The Reuben had a great flavor and the bread itself was tasty. It was slightly odd in my mind to eat a Reuben without grilled rye, but I enjoyed this. The pepperoni stuffed bread was also good and was even better with the addition of some sauce (they called it gravy and I thought I was in trouble haha). THIS! THIS is how it’s done. We are LOSING places like this to the horrible economy and chain garbage food spots. It’s very hard to get a good hero in this area and this place makes one of the best I’ve ever had and more! Do NOT skip it if you want a great sandwich or some excellent hot food. The owner is a sweet lady who will make you see her place if you come by. The owners son is a great guy who will greet you like you’re a regular (you’ll become one after the first bite) and accommodate any request. Great food, great prices, great staff. Sandwiches were awesome. Got the sloppy joe which was so large and good. Also got a tray of meatballs that were top notch.

Our first time here and won't be our last! We were met by Maria as we walked in. Wonderful person who gave us a run down to the to the deli. Went out of her way to explain what they do, what their hours are and what they serve! Then proceed us to make us two wonderful, heavy and delicious sloppy joe sandwiches! While she was making those we met Gilda the boss and her son Joe. Gilda gave us a tour of the restaurant and the catering hall. So happy to have met both of them. Real old fashioned old school vibe that you just can't seem to find anymore, a real gem! Here's a photo of the sloppy joe and you can see Maria's signature( which is the smiley face)!! OMG, SO GOOD!! Thank you Maria! Oh, and make sure you try the meatballs and sausage! Everything is homemade right there!
