Inn on Mill Creek

We roomed here in the fall and the view from our room in Evergreen was simply incredible! Sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee, or just lounging on the bed with the fireplace on, were some of my favorite parts of our stay. The breakfast was hands down the best I've eaten of any other place I've stayed! I'm still craving those dutch babies with spiced apples. And the innkeepers are both incredibly friendly and delightful to chat with.

Bridgette and Dave are great host and marvelous people. Their place is incredible. We first visited them in 2009 with young teenage kids. They still talk about the dogs, the mountains and the area. It took awhile but we made it back for our 39th wedding anniversary. Despite the terrible impact of Hurricane Helene a year ago, the place looks great. Dave is very creative when it comes to diverting water, stopping erosion and saving the Inn from the flood waters. Take friends, stay at the house, enjoy the mountains and the communities of Old Fort and Black Mountain. The worst part of your trip will be when you realize it’s time to leave and go home.

The Inn was such a restful place to get away from it all! The natural beauty of the surrounding grounds with the creek, landscape & songbirds was exactly what we needed to relax. Our room was clean & spacious and the breakfasts were marvelous! Dave & Brigette were friendly& we loved just visiting with them over breakfast. They were very accomodating for my special diet (Celiac) and had plenty of tips & suggestions for activities, food & drink in the local area & Asheville. Be prepared to fall in love with the Inn Pugs, Honey & Chibi!

This place is flawless. Dave and Brigette are amazing hosts! They have made everything just perfect with this getaway. It is VERY quiet and all you hear complimenting the amazing mountain atmosphere is the sound of the whippoorwills in the evening and the buzzing of bumblebees in the morning. They are right next door if you need anything but at the same time it feels like you have the whole place to yourself! I rented the mtn laurel room in the deckhouse and it was perfect! The bed and pillows were so wonderful I didn't want to leave. Everything was so clean and organized! I loved all the wood trim ,low lighting and the view of a pristine pond right out my window. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our two night stay to celebrate our 24 year wedding anniversary. This was the first time we'd stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and the experience was phenomenal! Our room (master bedroom in the main house) was clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The bed was just the right firmness and we both slept great both nights. There was ample lighting with large windows that over looked the pond and a large portion of the grounds and property. The dressing area and the bathroom were very nice. We enjoyed the jetted tub and the beautifully tiled shower. Our breakfasts each morning were beyond top notch! Bridgette's Dutch Baby pancakes were delicious and Dave's Frittata's were scrumptious!
