The food here is phenomenal! I was stunned at how good the Lamb Samosa and Lamb Vindaloo were. This would be a 5 star review but the lunch buffet is extremely small sadly. I tried every item on the buffet with only 3 trips of small plates. Everything was tasty though. I would recommend ordering from the menu instead of the lunch buffet personally.

This place is inside a quant 50s diner-style building. The ambiance is semi upscale and provides a unique "date night" feel. I especially like that despite being at a very busy intersection it is still quiet. I've had the chicken tikka masala and the tomato base is delicious. The mixed appetizer plate has just the right amount of different items to try out with 2 sauces that are both spicy and sweet along with onions (I'm not a fan of onions but I'm sure these are a great pairing). Lunch specials are still big portions so come with an appetite. The owner clearly cares and can be available if you need something or have a question. I really do not understand the negative reviews. Best Indian buffet in the area. My only minor criticism is that they have the same items on the buffet every weekend but I like most of the items so it is not really a problem. Would be nice to get an eggplant dish one in a while.

Ordered takeout, food was excellent! I ordered the cucumber tomato salad, vegetable samosas, lamb samosas, raita, kheer and a tikka masala lunch special. It came with the array of onion chutney, green chutney and tamarind sauces. I think my favorite was the vegetable samosa (like a chickpea/potato fried pocket (size of an orange and some)) and the kheer was very very good. Tikka masala lunch special had no spice (so I slapped on some of my own) and while I'd prefer a higher spice level and requested medium hot, the tikka masala sauce in and of itself was delicious making up for it, very creamy. All in all, I had an excellent lunch with left overs for tomorrow! Delivery was very prompt, around 25min.

Favorite Indian food in New Haven. Note: I’ve always ordered off the menu. Mostly because I eat there for dinner (no buffet offered). I think I was there once for lunch, but the buffet didn’t have some of my favorite items, so I just ordered from the menu.
