II Giardino

just pickup a Napolitano pie and it was amazing! and price was very fair too! friendly staff and chef was a nice gent too! I'll definitely go back to this small gem restaurant in Bergen County for sure!

Five Star ratings across the board may surprise some when a first-timer takes a look at Il Giardino Restaurant... It's a simple setting... more like eating at a friend's home. And this is exactly what makes it great! It's all about the food... the food is fantastic, with a broad variety of standard dishes and surprisingly lengthy list of nightly, and unusual, specials. The service is more about being warm and personal rather than coolly professional. There is a charm at Il Giardino in both its sincere simplicity and welcoming atmosphere. We just had a family birthday dinner there last week and I'm already looking forward to coming back! Two thumbs way, way up!

Absolutely one of the best pizzas in the area--we took it takeout from the side that's more like a grab-and-go pizza place but did notice they have a more restaurant-like space as well. Nice staff. Place is a bit run-down on the whole. Very reasonable prices. At some point I want to go back to check out their other food as well.

We just had the pleasure of eating at Il Giardino. I called The owner, Lilo and was able to book their dining room for our family after we had the services for our Mother. He was so caring and patient with our every need. We ran late at the cemetery and when I called him very stressed out he immediately put us at ease and said “take your time…the room is ready for you whenever you get here”. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shortly after all the delicious appetizers started coming out. Hot and amazing…we couldn’t get over the amount of food and the quality was top notch. Every time you turned around someone was refilling your coffee, water or asking if you needed anything else. We then had penne vodka and many of us said it was the best we’ve ever had. I didn't give it 5 stars only because this was our first visit. I got takeout and it was delicious. The staff was courteous and helpful. It looks like a pizzeria but it is a restaurant. We ordered shrimp scampi and a special stuffed fillet of soul: fantastic. Plus clams oregenato. These were covered with a wonderful white wine sauce. We will be back.
